COURSE UPDATE - YOUR SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY
Following close consultation with GeoSphere Austria as meteorological experts, alongside the mountain rescue and medical teams, we have made adjustments to the Ehrwald Trail and Ultra Trail races.
THE SITUATION
Current weather forecasts predict challenging mountain conditions for the race weekend, including:
• High temperatures (30°C and above)
• Thunderstorms and ligthining storms in mountain areas
• Unstable weather patterns, particularly Saturday
With the original start times and race formats, athletes would be in exposed mountain terrain when thunderstorms are forecast to arrive. To ensure your safety, your course has been shortened and the start brought forward.
Based on this information and the recommendations of the relevant authorities, we have taken proactive measures to ensure we can deliver a safe and meaningful race experience.
