COURSE UPDATE | YOUR SECURITY IS OUR PRIORITY

We have been working in close consultation with GeoSphere Austria, the national meteorological service, alongside the mountain rescue and medical teams as we monitor the weather for the next few days.
Current weather forecasts predict challenging mountain conditions, including high temperatures and thunderstorms in exposed areas during Saturday afternoon. Based on this information and the recommendations of the relevant authorities, we are bringing your start time earlier, to ensure you can complete the course before conditions are expected to worsen. Our priority, as always, is to keep athletes safe while still delivering a high-quality race experience for everyone involved.
WHAT CHANGES FOR YOU
To ensure you are out of exposed areas before the forecasted storms, your race start has been moved forward to Saturday at 05:00.
**START: **Saturday at 05:00
COURSE: No changes – you will run the original Leutasch Trail course
SCORING: No changes – UTMB Index and Running Stones remain as originally planned
SHUTTLE SERVICE: Shuttle bus is departing 3:45am from Garmisch Ice Stadium.

We are fully aware that this early start time requires adjustments to your race day routine. These decisions have not been made lightly. We understand the dedication and preparation you have invested, and we deeply appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
Please read the updated race information carefully and stay connected to our official channels for any further updates.

A true classic with speed potential

The Leutasch Trail has been part of the ZUT since its premiere in 2011 and offers a fantastic mix of runnable passages and alpine terrain. The route is quickly merging after 6 kilometers the Ultratrail course with a big mountain waiting at the beginning (Scharnitzjoch) and one at the end (Osterfelder), with a fast route in between.
