The history of the Zugspitz Ultratrail began in the small town of Grainau in 2011. Today, the Grainau Trail is not only a must for nostalgia fans, but also for beginners and high-speed enthusiasts who will have a lot of fun on this easy trail with no technical difficulties.

All **runners** will now **need a MyUTMB account** to register for Zugspitz Ultra Trail by UTMB
To make sure you're ready when registration opens, follow these two essential steps:

- Create or log in to your MyUTMB account – this is now required to complete your registration
- Check your UTMB Index – if you have one, it could give you early access to registration.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Priority Registration is a 48-hour window of time immediately before Zugspitz Ultra Trail by UTMB's general registration opens.

The benefits of early registration are:

- First opportunity to secure a spot in the race and therefore greatest likelihood of getting a place in the desired race
- In most cases, access to the lowest price tiers

Runners holding a valid UTMB Index will be offered access to registration during the priority registration period.

A limited number of race entries are available during the priority registration period, with a portion of entries reserved for general opening.
