- Check your UTMB Index – if you have one, it could give you early access to registration.

2026 Registration Process
Registrations of Zugspitz Ultra Trail by UTMB 2026 will be open to the runners with a valid UTMB index from 11th November 2025 at 2.00 pm until 13th November 2025 at 2.00 pm.
At the end of this period, registrations will be open to runners with or without a valid UTMB index until 31st July 2026 at 11.59 pm or until the races are sold out.
There will be no waiting list.
EXPERIENCE:
To register for Zugspitz Ultra Trail by UTMB, for safety reasons, runners need to prove their experience. To enter ZUT100 they will be aksed to have a valid UTMB index in the categories 100K or 100M.

MINIMUM AGE:
A minimum age of 18 years (year of birth 2008 or earlier) is required to register for ZUT100, Ultra Trail, Ehrwald Trail, Leutasch Trail, Mittenwald Trail, Garmisch-Partenkirchen Trail.
For the Grainau Trail, participation is possible with a minimum age of 16 years (year of birth 2010 or earlier).

- Participant gifts
- After race services
- ZUT Food Court voucher (for all distances over 40 kilometers)
For security and control reasons, registration is nominal and non-transferable. Transfer of bibs between runners is not permitted.
It is possible to transfer a registration to a shorter distance until 3 weeks before the event (28.05.2026) and in the limit of places available. In this case, no refund will be made. The event organiser must be contacted directly via email.
It is also possible to ask to transfer a registration to a longer distance, but the request will not be automatically accepted and will be at the discretion of the race director. The surcharge for the entry fee for the longer distance must be paid.
Transfers are only available if the new distance is not sold out.
It is not possible to postpone the registration to the following year.
Withdrawal Conditions
Mittenwald Trail, Garmisch-Partenkirchen Trail, Grainau Trail: The registration is not refundable.
ZUT100, Ultratrail, Ehrwald Trail, Leutasch Trail: Withdrawal requests must be received during the following time frames in order to be eligible for a partial refund:
Date of cancellation, % refund
- Until 18.02.2026 (4 months before the event), 60%
- Until 18.04.2026 (2 months before the event), 30%
- After 18.04.2026 (2 months before the event), No refund
Process for withdrawals:
To request your cancellation, enter into your Participant Dashboard on the Registration Platform and click on "Cancel my Registration". Our team will process your request and process the partial refund if it applies, according to the withdrawal conditions.
In order to give fair recognition to high level athletes and to ensure a fair management of entry applications, we reserve places for elite athletes according to their Performance Index in the category of the race they chose to compete. Elite runners must register during the registration period. No registration will be accepted after the deadline.
Once a distance is sold out, the event organiser has the right to refuse an elite registration.
All elites must register to a race at least 60 days before the race.

Medical certificate is not required, but we recommend the runners to have regular medical check-ups, especially for those who are exposed to a greater physical load.
UTMB® strives to facilitate and encourage the participation of women in trail running races, and has therefore implemented a new policy concerning pregnancy which applies to all the events of the UTMB® World Series circuit.

As part of UTMB's ongoing efforts to increase and encourage the participation of athletes with disabilities in trail running races, UTMB has implemented a new policy for all UTMB World Series events. Find it here.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE POLICY? This policy will apply to athletes in the adaptive athlete open division. Participation in the Adaptive Athlete Open Division is available to athletes with the following disabilities:
- Visual Impairment
- Intellectual Disability
- Physical or Neurological Movement Disability
RUNNER-GUIDE POLICY: All adaptive athletes are allocated an extra bib number, free of charge, for a guide runner to accompany them on all or parts of their race.
PROCESS FOR ADAPTIVE ATHLETES:
- Complete the Adaptive Athlete Open Application.
- You will be contacted once your adaptive athlete status has been approved.
- When you register to a new event, please directly contact the race organization with the confirmation of your adaptive athlete open approval.
- If you require a runner-guide, please contact the race organization directly with the following information : the name and contact details of your chosen runner-guide. Please contact the organization as soon as you have registered.

Registration Confirmation
You will automatically receive a registration confirmation e-mail from our registration partner. Your age group category for the event you registered for will be reflective of your age as of December 31of the event year.
Your name, and the names of other starters, is searchable via the Runner Start List or on UTMB Live prior to your race. Online registrations are synced to our database within 24 hours. You can login to check your registration status, below:
